An Investigation into Work-Family Balance and Employee Resilience among Female Bankers

Purpose- Work-family balance has increasingly become the epitome of scholarly investigation. This study was motivated to contribute growing debate from Ugandan setting and particularly with a female sample by studying employee resilience. Methods- adopted data triangulation conducted among 397 bankers; where size 196 determined. Data collected using structured five-point Likert-type scale questionnaire. The instrument tested for validity expert opinion content validity. We also used exploratory factor analysis. For reliability, we Cronbach alpha coefficients. were approval consent Research Committee MUBS, supervisors in banks, respondents assured confidentiality. Findings- Indeed, some organizations have mainstreamed gender into their operations footsteps national policy. But work-life is beyond frameworks. found that organizational support partial mediation effect between work-family means both factors are important influencing resilience workers banking sector. Originality-This grounded practical insights bankers Uganda. While there may be similar studies none taken rigorous approach like this conceptualization methodology. original context which it executed methodologies used. contend made significant contribution further delineating life-balance policy, practice, academic advancements African context.
